Depending on where the reception is held, I would typically need to evaluate the available floor space and the height of the room. Some areas can have sloping walls or low ceilings, which can constrain my equipment setup.

The access to the venue is fairly straightforward, but I always check to ensure there’s ample parking for both myself and your guests. Weather can also be a factor, especially if any part of your celebration is outdoors, so it’s good to have a backup plan in case of rain. I find it’s important to consider any sound limiters, especially if your event runs late into the evening.

As for the music, I follow a straightforward approach tailored to your preferences. You can provide up to 25 must-play songs and 25 tracks that I can play if the moment feels right. While guest requests are welcomed, I can’t guarantee they’ll make it onto the playlist. My aim is always to read the crowd and create an engaging atmosphere without sticking to an extensive pre-made list.
