Wedding and event DJ prices: a £500–£1,000 guide

My ballpark guide is £500–£1,000, with the final price tailored to your event, coverage, travel, equipment and extras. Larger productions and additional services can cost more.

What kind of service do you need?

Choose Wayne for an attended DJ service, or DIY hire if you want to run the music yourself. No contact details are needed to see the live guide; you can start simple and add suitable extras later.

Wayne’s DJ service includes standard speakers, a DJ controller and four tube lights in a fixed compact setup. Booth and styling choices are not included. The venue must provide reliable mains power. If a generator is needed, the minimum guide price is £500, subject to checking the site. Larger rooms, difficult access or production requirements may affect the final quote.

Help me understand your music

This is especially useful if you have strong or less mainstream tastes. Swipe through the genres, artists and tracks so I can see what feels like you and what does not. You can still skip this step if you would rather discuss it later.

Your preferences guide the party — they do not become a fixed playlist.

If a track suits the room and the moment, I’ll play it. I won’t fill a four-hour performance with an eight-hour request list, apply blanket bans to whole artists or “cheese”, or promise a dedicated hour of hardcore, thrash metal or any other niche genre without knowing it will work for your guests.

At a typical five-hour wedding celebration, guests are often still arriving and catching up before the buffet, the busiest dancefloor period may be around 9–11pm, and departures often begin after 11pm. I use your choices to understand your priorities, then read the room and build a party that includes everyone.
