Sam and Ian held their evening reception at Leicester Lions RFC and booked my Classic evening dj service for the full night. They also added the Reclaimed Pallet Booth, which suited the rugby club setting and brought a warm, stripped-back aesthetic to the room.

Unlike many weddings, Sam and Ian chose not to have a first dance. No formal moments or spotlight features—just a relaxed evening that reflected their personalities. From the start, they wanted a party, not a performance, and the crowd responded well to that.
Sam and Ian’s Music Style
Their tastes leaned heavily towards Radio X and Kisstory sounds, with indie, 80s, 90s R&B, and even a touch of drum and bass and reggae thrown in. Their requests spanned from “Fluorescent Adolescent” by Arctic Monkeys to “Poison” by The Prodigy—tracks that carry their own weight on the dancefloor. At one point, “Touch” by Hybrid Minds played into a more atmospheric section that still kept heads nodding and feet moving.
The indie crowd came alive with “Sit Down” by James and “Lucky Man” by The Verve, while classics like “Billie Jean” gave guests a moment of shared nostalgia. Despite the variety, the energy stayed consistent. There was no need for announcements or traditions—just music that meant something to them, played in the right order and at the right time.
A Confident, No-Fuss Finish
As the clock neared midnight, the final track—“Champagne Supernova” by Oasis—felt completely right. No gimmicks, no extras beyond the booth, just a strong finish to a solid night.
