Lucie & Dan — the first dance and reception

Their first dance was “This Will Be (An Everlasting Love)” by Natalie Cole, which sounded bright and sincere when the couple shared the floor. Afterwards, reception tracks kept conversation easy, and the Vintage Pod recorded smiles with no prints, just memories. Because the couple wanted a lively mix, I moved smoothly between classic soul and contemporary crowd-pleasers.

Also, the request list guided the evening, and favourites like “Dancing Queen” and “Love On Top” received warm responses. Lucie & Dan returned to the booth for photos between songs, which meant the reclaimed wood look worked well with the venue’s garden-centre charm.

Next, the wedding party dance lifted energy again, so people danced across generations. The playlist was straightforward and respectful of family moments, while still keeping the floor populated. Lucie & Dan checked in once, and were relaxed about the running order all night.

Finally, the last dance closed a night that felt honest rather than overproduced. Guests left smiling, and Lucie & Dan seemed pleased with how simply everything came together.
