When Jessica and Shane approached me to be their wedding DJ, I knew it was going to be a unique evening. They shared that they weren’t big on dancing, but still wanted to have fun and keep their guests entertained. With this in mind, we decided to incorporate board games, bingo, and quizzes into their reception.
The venue, The Staging Post at Kilworth House Hotel, was a perfect location for this cozy family affair. We set up a table with different board games for guests to enjoy, and even had a few rounds of Bingo for those feeling lucky. As the night went on, we mixed in trivia questions to keep everyone engaged and entertained.
While there wasn’t a lot of dancing, we did have a great time together and created a memorable evening for all. The couple’s first dance was to Daughtry’s “Losing My Mind,” and we closed the night out with James Hype’s “More Than Friends.” In between, we played a variety of music to fit the mood and keep the energy flowing.
To add to the cozy atmosphere, we provided marshmallows and hot chocolate for guests to enjoy throughout the evening. And to end things on a high note, sparklers were handed out for a magical send-off.
Overall, it was a pleasure being part of Jessica and Shane’s special day. It truly highlighted the importance of tailoring services to fit each couple’s unique style and desires, resulting in a fun and memorable evening for all.
