Celebrating Hayley and Mike

Hayley and Mike’s Cider Mill Barns wedding delivered everything you’d want from a great party — fun, music, and a packed dancefloor. Set in the Warwickshire countryside, this stylish venue provided the perfect backdrop. I performed my Classic Evening DJ set from 6:30 PM to 11:30 PM, with no extras — just music that reflected the couple’s personalities and brought guests together.

first dance That Sparked the Night

After cutting the cake, Hayley and Mike invited guests to gather for their first dance. They had chosen “From Now On” by Hugh Jackman & The Greatest Showman Ensemble. The track started at 1:10, giving them a short moment together before the beat kicked in. As the energy lifted, they waved everyone onto the floor, creating a fantastic shared moment that launched the party.

Music That Matched Their Tastes

The music brief for the night blended their favourites across decades. Hayley enjoys late 90s and early 00s Pop and R&B, while Mike prefers 80s and 90s Rock. Together, they also love early 00s American pop-punk and rock, which meant bands like Blink 182 and Fall Out Boy featured during the night.

Their guests heard everything from “It’s My Life” by Bon Jovi to “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” by Whitney Houston. Hayley danced with her dad to “Let’s Stick Together” by Bryan Ferry. Meanwhile, a promised Irish moment delighted Aunt Marian with “Belle of Belfast City” by Kirsty MacColl. These personal touches made their Cider Mill Barns wedding truly stand out.

High Energy Until the Last Track

From the first song to the final beat, the dancefloor stayed active. Guests enjoyed hits from the 80s through to the 2010s. The last dance — “The Greatest Show” — wrapped up the evening in style. Everyone left with smiles and tired feet. By 11:30 PM, the night ended exactly as planned, and I cleared down in line with the venue’s schedule.
