Eleanor and Scott’s Wedding Celebration at The Pumping Station
The beautiful and historic Pumping Station in Cropston was the setting for Eleanor and Scott’s unforgettable wedding celebration. With its unique charm and character, this Leicester venue perfectly suited the couple’s style, blending a touch of elegance with a lively and energetic vibe. From the moment their friends and family arrived, it was clear this would be a night to remember.
As the Classic evening dj for the night, I was set up and ready to start the music at 7:00 PM, creating an inviting atmosphere as guests gathered. The evening officially kicked off with the couple’s first dance to a unique rendition of “Truly Madly Deeply” by Cascada. We began with the beautiful, slow version, allowing Eleanor and Scott to share a romantic moment on the dancefloor. After a few magical minutes, the song transitioned seamlessly into Cascada’s club remix, inviting everyone to join in and bring the energy up a notch. It was a special moment that perfectly reflected the couple’s mix of heartfelt and high-spirited style.
The night continued with a fantastic mix of music tailored to Eleanor and Scott’s tastes, with everything from nostalgic hits to upbeat dance tracks. Their carefully curated “must-play” list included timeless favourites like “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!” by ABBA, “Believe” by Cher, and the crowd-pleasing “Cha Cha Slide” by DJ Casper, which had everyone on their feet. Guests also enjoyed a few surprise favourites from the “play if possible” list, adding to the fun and lively atmosphere that made the night so enjoyable.
The evening wound down with the perfect final songs, as Eleanor and Scott shared a last dance to “Beautiful Crazy” by Luke Combs, followed by Luke Bryan’s “Drunk Ass Home” to end the night on a high. The Classic Evening DJ service kept the dancefloor full and the energy up right through to the final song, leaving guests with wonderful memories of a fantastic celebration at The Pumping Station.
