Classic evening dj for Amelia and Matthew at Donnington Park Farm House
Amelia and Matthew chose a Classic Evening DJ at Donnington Park Farm House, and I arrived for a 6:00 PM setup before a 7:00 PM start. Their plan was clear, and the brief was simple: a great night with No Extras, driven by music they love. Consequently, the flow felt natural from the first track to lights up at midnight.
Amelia and Matthew: The first dances
Right after the cake cutting, Amelia and Matthew stepped onto the floor for their first dance, The Book of Love by Peter Gabriel. The room settled immediately, and guests gathered close. Then, their second first dance, My Type by Saint Motel, lifted the mood and brought friends and family in with them. As a result, the floor felt busy from the start and stayed that way.
Amelia and Matthew: The Evening Set
Through the night, I focused on pacing and clear transitions. Meanwhile, the request list guided the direction without forcing it, so each section progressed with purpose. Because we ran the Classic Evening DJ package, the sound and lighting stayed clean and uncluttered. Furthermore, serving evening food at 8:00 PM gave everyone a short breather before we pushed the energy again.
As the clock neared midnight, we saved a final surge for the last song. Therefore, the close came with Mr Brightside, and Amelia and Matthew took the centre while everyone sang along. Soon after, music off at 12:00 AM and carriages.
