A Magical Evening for Jodie and Jamie at Dodford Manor

Jodie and Jamie’s wedding at Dodford Manor was truly a night to remember, and I had the pleasure of being their Classic evening dj for the celebration. The picturesque venue of Dodford Manor, nestled in the Northamptonshire countryside, provided a stunning backdrop for their special day.

My evening began as I arrived at 6:00 PM to set up. The centrepiece of my setup was the Reclaimed Pallet Booth, which not only looked fantastic but also complemented the rustic elegance of Dodford Manor. By 7:00 PM, everything was in place, and the evening’s festivities were ready to kick off.

One of the highlights of the night was Jodie and Jamie’s first dance. They chose “All the Small Things (Acoustic)” by Jay Filson, a beautiful and unique choice that set a heartfelt tone for the evening. As they swayed to the acoustic rendition of the popular song, it was clear to see the love and joy they shared.

The evening was filled with memorable moments, including the Father-Daughter dance to Phil Collins’ “You’ll Be in My Heart,” and the Parent Dances to “Endless Love” by Diana Ross and Lionel Richie. These songs were personal and meaningful choices that resonated deeply with everyone in attendance.

With the formal dances concluded, it was time for the wedding party to take over the dance floor. Jodie and Jamie’s music requests ensured a lively and enjoyable atmosphere, featuring hits from ABBA, Bryan Adams, Cyndi Lauper, and many more. The playlist was a perfect mix of classics and crowd-pleasers that kept everyone on their feet.

One of the standout moments of the evening was the bouquet toss, set to Meghan Trainor’s “Dear Future Husband.” This fun and lively song brought an extra touch of excitement as guests eagerly awaited to catch the bouquet.

As the evening drew to a close, we played their favourite songs, including “Summer of ’69” by Bryan Adams and “Sweet Caroline” by Neil Diamond, ensuring the night ended on a high note.
